EVIDENCE MODULE
The Evidence Module is the core of the Earwig platform and so is pre-selected.
This allows users to capture evidence and create learning records and, thus developmental timelines, for individuals, groups, classes, subjects, etc.
The basic module provides the capacity for up to 50 pupils. You can create as many staff accounts, classes, subjects, etc. as you want.
If you wish to use this account with more than 50 pupils, you will need to add the Expanded Pupil Pack to your basket. This will expand the capacity to 100 pupils.
Beyond this, you will need to also add the Unlimted Pack.
ASSESSMENT MODULE
If you are going to assess pupil progress against a framework or any other target set, you will need the Assessment Module. This provides the capacity to select a framework of your choice from the Framework Library. You will also have the option to customise the grading scheme and other framework settings, in consultation with your Earwig Consultant, if you wish.
You can increase the number of frameworks that you can use with this account by adding Framework Pack Add-ons to your basket.
Pack 1 - up to 4 frameworks.
Packs 1 and 2 - up to 8 frameworks
Packs 1, and 3 - Up to 40 frameworks. Note - if you need more than 40 frameworks, talk to your Consultant.
There is no need to make any decisions about particular frameworks at this point – other than how many you may need. Your Earwig Consultant will take you through the options in the Framework Library, where you can see every detail about each framework in the collection.
You can also let him know if you would like to provide one or more custom frameworks to Earwig, to be added to your framework suite.
ADDITIONAL MODULES AND FEATURES
These are to additional modules available to you as a Gold account.
You can always add these to your account later, if that is more convenient.
Parent Module
Allows parents and carers to see Earwig timelines for their children and engage with the school on these. Parents can also be given the opportunity to create their own observations and download images and video.
Reporting and Analytics Module
If you will want to produce reports for pupils of their performance against the frameworks you select, then you need this module. Also provides all the school analytics, charts, etc. that you will need.
Baseline feature
Set current or previous attainment scores as baseline data. Measure performance from this (or previous year, or teacher set expectations).
Next Steps Feature
Quickly identify 'Next Steps for a pupil and then use this to select future targets for individuals or classes and share these with staff (or parents).
Pupil Portal
Pull together all the information on each pupil in one place. combine pupil reports from different frameworks into one document.
Student Portfolio Module
Allow pupils to create their own Earwig records and work towards set projects.
School Blog and Diary
Teachers can select records to be included in a school blog. The Diary can be used to keep parents advised of events.
Limited User Access
Create a hierarchy of staff access so that certain staff can be provided with limited permissions. Examples are Teaching Assestance and Therapists.
Multi-school Login Feature
This feature allows selected staff to see the Earwig data for more than one school, through a single login. Useful for MATs and similar organisations.

Setup Meeting - 60 minutes
For the SLT, Key decision makers.
Discuss the particular situation and challenges for your school or unit with your dedicated Earwig Consultant.
Understand the basic features of the Earwig software and app and the process to full Earwig operation.
Discuss your framework selection and other options in Earwig and make selections to be implemented for you by your Consultant.
Set out a plan to get your staff trained to get the most out of Earwig, for the school and pupils.
Administrator Training - 60 minutes
For staff selected to be Earwig Admins.
How to manage the account successfully once it is set up.
How the data synch with your MIS works.
Introducing new staff to Earwig.
Liaising with Earwig Customer Support to deal with questions and issues.
Evidence Training – 90 minutes
For the staff
Learn to upload and manage media using the mobile app and the browser.
Create evidence records and timelines.
Connect evidence to framework targets.
Tag records with additional information and links.
Assessment Training – 60 minutes
For the staff
Learn to grade pupils against specific frameworks.
Monitor and track learner attainment data.
Write and manage editable EHCP based targets.
Reporting and Analytics – 60 minutes
For the SLT and those responsible for reporting.
Learn to configure Earwig reporting templates for year-end reports, annual reviews and other periods.
Set end of year targets for learners' predicted attainment.
Produce analytics reports to compare cohort data – with associated charts.
